I saw news related to the Amarok Dark Label a few days ago and I’ve been waiting for better pictures and a more detailed write-up. I still haven’t found a really good write-up, but several different news sites are reporting on this.
The Amarok Dark Label is special edition version of the Amarok being shown at the Frankfurt Autoshow, I suspect more pictures will come out in the next few days from the show. From what I have seen it goes on sale in November in Germany, obviously no word on a Canadian date, for any Amarok.
The Dark Edition is based on a Trendline and has a black theme going on. This edition is available in any of the available body colours on a double cab truck with any of the available engine and drivetrain combinations.
Unique visual accents include the 18-inch “Durban” alloy wheels, dark rear side windows and rear windscreen, B-pillars covered with a black trim layer, design stripes, smoked rear lights and LED-illumination for the license plate.
The door handles, exterior mirrors, rear bumper and styling bar as well as the lateral sill tubes with entry step surfaces are also designed in black, while the styled underbody guard at the front in offset in silver.
On the inside, the Amarok Dark Label brings Alcantara seat covers, velour floor mats with signatures, an RCD 310 radio with multifunction steering wheel, heated front seats and heated windscreen washer nozzles. VW also throws in a Durabed liner coating for the cargo bed. – Zimbio.com
